Asphalt Milling
Asphalt milling is commonly used to repair and maintain roadways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces that have become worn or damaged. By removing the old asphalt surface and creating a rough texture, milling prepares the surface for a new layer of asphalt that will adhere better and last longer. It can also be used to improve drainage by creating a slope or correcting any unevenness in the surface. During the milling process, the machine uses a rotating drum with teeth to grind and remove the top layer of asphalt. The drum can be adjusted to remove a specific depth of asphalt, which is typically between 50 – 100mm.
